Museum of TANAP in Tatranska Lomnica is very unusual building. Exterior is similar to the Tatra peak. It's architect is Pavol Merjavy. He got a prestige price of Dusan Jurkovic for this design.
Inside are naturalistic, landscape conservatistic, ethnographic and historic exhibits. The most valuable exhibit is a herbarium of monk Cyprian from Cerveny Klastor (18th century).
Naturalistic part is showing a geological structure of Wester, High and Belaer Tatras.
Landscape conservatistic part is talking about the history of nature protection in High Tatras and about the employment of the Mountain rescue and down-to-date research on the area of TANAP.
Last expositions are situated in the Botanical garden, only five minutes by walk far from the building.
Seminaries, lectures, projection of movies and diaphones is realizing information center in the Museum of TANAP. Here you can buy a magazine of TANAP, regional monographies and other information material.
